Poker StarsPersonal Review
Pokerstars is really a refreshing poker room to visit. The layout and the simplicity of the software really make it easy for anybody to get straight into playing the wonderful game of poker.

Pokerstars also offer great features and some of my favourites are:

Player Images - where PokerStars allows players to upload and use a picture of themselves or just about anything esle to represent them at their online poker tables. (don't try and upload anything disgusting or it will be blocked!)
Player Stats - player stats are accumulated and available to analyze your play at any time. Just request the stats and PokerStars will email them to you. Also, stats are viewable constantly while you are playing at a table.
Hand Histories - you can request to see a transcript for your last 200 games by simply requesting them from the dealer.
Opponent Notes - keeping track of certain players' methods is simple if you keep notes on them. Make notes and these are saved on your system, so nobody else will be able to access them and they will always be available to you.
Connection Status - this must be my absolute favourite feature. Here you can see the connection status of other players by simply moving your mouse over their name. This is really cool because now you can avoid those frustratingly slow play tables.

Pokerstars is an official WPT member, so you will constantly have the oppertunity to play in the big tournaments and even stand a chance to win a seat at the finals for the really big win!

A really cool poker room!!

Frequent Player Points
Players accumulate FPPs by playing in raked cash games, multi-table tournaments and Sit & Go Tournaments that include a tournament fee.

1. Earn Points for Cash Game Play
One (1) Frequent Player Point (FPP) is awarded for playing in each raked game when the rake reaches:

  • $0.50 for fixed limit games with stakes $0.50/$1.00 and lower
  • $0.75 for fixed limit games with stakes $1/$2
  • $1.00 for pot limit games, no limit games, and fixed limit games with stakes $2/$4 and higher

2. Earn Points for Tournament Play
Five (5) FPPs are awarded for each $1 in tournament fees paid.
For example, in a tournament with $20 buy-in and $2 tournament fee, each player will be awarded 10 FPPs.
Partial Frequent Player Points are always rounded up to the nearest whole number.
For example, in a $5 buy-in Sit & Go tournament with only a $0.50 fee, 3 FPPs (instead of 2.5) will be awarded to each player in this tournament.

How Many Frequent Player Points Do I Have?
At any time you can visit the cashier window and see your current FPP balance. This window reflects not only real money and play money balances but also a Frequent Player Points balance. The more you play - the more your FPP balance will grow.

What Can I Do with My Frequent Player Points?

There are several great ways to turn your Frequent Player Points into cash or prizes - but their versatility leaves open additional possibilities for the future.

1. Enter Special Tournaments
The PokerStars Frequent Player Points program makes it easy for you to play in some of the biggest and most prestigious poker tournaments in the world. Throughout the year, we offer FPP super-satellite tournaments to such prestigious events as the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour Championship.

2. Enter Cash Tournaments
PokerStars has designed several regularly scheduled tournaments around the FPP program. These tournaments allow you to buy-in using only Frequent Player Points, but they pay cash to the winners.

3. Purchase Gifts
To reward your play on our site, PokerStars offers a range of exciting items from PokerStars baseball caps to 600-chip sets of clay poker chips for use in your home game.
